Τα O Awards του MTV αποτελούν πλέον τα πιο σπουδαία βραβεία που σχετίζονται με τη ψηφιακή μουσική. Η εκδήλωση έλαβε χώρα στο Λας Βέγκας και μεταδόθηκε ζωντανά από στο διαδίκτυο.
Η Lady Gaga κέρδισε το βραβείο για την πιο καινοτόμο καλλιτέχνη και το βραβείο του καλλιτέχνη με τους περισσότερους followers στο twitter. Οι δυο αυτές κατηγορίες έχουν το μεγαλύτερο κύρος.
Οι νικητές επιλέχθηκαν μέσω online ψηφοφορίας και τα αλλά μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης. Σύμφωνα με το MTV περισσότερα από τρία εκατομμύρια ψήφισαν online και στα social media.
