Οι μουσικοί αστέρες της country, Brad Paisley και Carrie Underwood, υποδέχθηκαν, ως παρουσιαστές της βραδιάς, μερικά από τα μεγαλύτερα ονόματα του μουσικού είδους. Σπουδαίες βραβεύσεις συγκινήσεις, εκρηκτικές live εμφανίσεις, όλα εκτυλίχθηκαν μέσα σε μια ατμόσφαιρα μουσικής πολυτέλειας και λιτότητας παράλληλα. Οι Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Jake Owen, The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Jennifer Nettles, Little Big Town και φυσικά ο George Strait και η Taylor Swift παρευρέθηκαν για να τιμήσουν την country μουσική και να βραβεύσουν τους καλλιτέχνες που ξεχώρισαν τον τελευταίο χρόνο με τα τραγούδια και τα albums τους.

Η Taylor Swift τιμήθηκε ιδιαίτερα με ειδικό βραβείο, Pinnacle award, το οποίο έχει απονεμηθεί άλλη μια φορά στο παρελθόν, το 2005, στον Garth Brooks. Η 47η τελετή πραγματοποιήθηκε την Τετάρτη στην Bridgestone Arena του Nashville.

• Musical Event of the Year: Tim McGraw with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, “Highway Don’t Care”

• Musician of the Year: Mac McAnally
